Ebbw extended their unbeaten run to 8 games with a hard won success over a Bridgend side fighting for their very existence in the Premiership. The wet weather and muddy pitch put paid to any hopes of a festival of fleet feet but the teams could not be faulted for effort. Ebbw’s scores came from an early Kristian Parker try and three penalties by Rhys Jones. The Steelmen held the upper hand in the first half to lead 14-0 but the home side scored 10 unanswered points after the interval to earn a deserved losing bonus point that may yet be vital in their relegation fight.
