Match Preview – Ebbw Vale RFC v Pontypool RFC

The Steelmen head into the festive period with the first game of a double header against Pontypool RFC in the Rival Round of Super Rygbi Cymru. The game will see the Steelmen defend the SRC Challengers Shield at the CiNER GLASS Community Stadium.

Jason Strange had made a number of changes to the starting XV for the game against Pooler. The experienced Dorian Jones and Dom Franchi return to the starting lineup with Evan Lloyd, who makes his 100th appearance for the Steelmen, moving to full back.

Upfront, Luke Garrett returns in the front row with Jack Pope comes into the starting XV at 6, Sion Parry moves to openside flanker.

Replacements will be named shortly before kickoff.
